Meow Meow would like you to believe she's helping

... but a kitty on one's chest does not make for easy typing!

I'm still poking away at my thesis, which is a lot less relaxing than it looks. (Really!) That's what I've been working on since last fall. We're heading for an out-of-town wedding in a week, so I'm trying very hard to get a chapter written before then.

Meow Meow's opinion of the whole business improves by the day. The flatter the project lays me out, the more lounge time she gets! Sorry, sweetie, but your mother would like to graduate this spring -- don't count on this becoming a permanent arrangement.

Hmmmmm... first the lap, now the chest. Is there any part of your mom that's not a perfect perch M2????

Fingers crossed for thesis inspiration, Leslie!

You both look very happy and comfy. Good luck with your thesis!!

Believe it or not, Lisa, Meow Meow does not like being picked up. She likes her perches sitting (or lying) down only.

And Marlene, it was cozy for the first 20 minutes. After that, a seven-pound weight on the chest begins to feel a bit heavy :)

aww, i <3 you two! i love how perfectly she fits. did you ever think you'd get a cat of your own?

nephthys doesn't like being picked up (or held at all for that matter) either unless i'm throwing her over my shoulder like burping a baby. and that doesn't last long. either she'll squirm to get down or crawl onto my shoulders. weirdo.

Angie -- I always wanted to have a cat but it wasn't possible until this year. So I was primed for one, shall we say :)

Yep, Meow Meow does the squirmy thing and gives me pitiful eyes when she's held. Silly little girl.
